Troubador Press Monster Gallery Coloring Book

San Francisco, California in 1973. The Troubador Press prints and publishes Monster Gallery, a coloring book based on famous monsters. Each page had a full black and white artists rendition of each monster and a story or bio on the opposite page. The book consists of 32 pages including title pages and an advertisement in the back for other Troubador Press books. Only the front and back cover have color. the rest of the book is in black and white. The pages are not the normal thin paper leaflets of a child’s coloring book. Instead they are thick pages and are heavier than construction paper. The book is a higher quality than any typical coloring book. Some of the art was used to illustrate the cards for Tomland’s Famous Monster of Legends line. Cyclops, The Abominable Snowman, Morlock and The Fly all used card art and descriptions on the back of the cards right out of the book itself. Please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you like what you see!
