Back in the late 1990s, Captain Action was reborn by Playing Mantis after the initial Ideal launch back in the 1960s. These are very accurate reproductions and have a very good retro look to them. They came in both retro and modern boxes, and separate outfit packages as an option. There were some really cool unproduced sets (unfortunately). Some of the unique features of this set are the two completely different original red and more popular blue Lone Ranger outfits (one boxed with figure, one a window box accessory set), and the two different Kato sets. Look closely as they are very different! These sets were later revived a second time into Marvel superheroes from the company “Round 2”.
