Miner Industries 12″ Systems Control Headquarters

In the 1970’s, NYC based Miner Industries (You know their later division Multiple Toymakers better) put together this really nifty fold up action figure case for the vintage 12″ GI Joes (or any toy that a kid at that time wanted to play with!). It’s hard to say it was scaled for only 12″ vintage GI Joes from the 1970s because the illustrations have items that would far be too big for even a 12″ GI Joe. But the heart and design were to work with the veer so popular action figure of that time and in my opinion it is one of the coolest carry/playsets out there! it folded up into a hexagonal canister with a sturdy plastic handle and the brass twist locks popular at the time. Cardboard covered by printed, colorful and flexible vinyl made up the body of the set. The real treat was that the set was divided into 3 sections in one playset: Earth Science Lab, Control Center, and Supply Room. There are lots and lots of classic illustrations and “equipment” for your action figure to imagine using while you create your backyard stories!
