Thanks to David Alexander (long time Bionic Man fan!) for sending this information over to us. I am going to credit the webpage http://elhombrenuclear.20m.com/?fbclid=IwAR2wfbRleFvvXL6fs3g8rzGYCvup-F0JVvR4FNa_YNn_2KwJRh9Gk-_bZjU as this information is a translation from Spanish to English of this collector, Roger Peraza. He has provided this information from his website, including a very cool video of him demonstrating the figure with its original box below:
“The Nuclear Man by Lili Ledy. This is the box of the toy that represented Steve Austin “The Nuclear Man”, made between 1975 and 1980 by “Lili Ledy”. This was built under license from “Kenner”, an American toy company that owns the “The Six Million Dollar Man” toy franchise worldwide. Only in Mexico were they made by a national toy company “Lili Ledy”, since at that time our economy was closed to toy imports. In its operation the toy was similar to the American one, but in manufacturing, the Mexican version was a little more austere compared to the American one… that’s where the charm of the toys made by “Lili Ledy” comes from.” – Roger Peraza
From David Alexander: “I bought this figure some years ago from Mexico. Originally it was complete minus the engine block. It took a while but I was finally able to complete it when I added the engine block. I really loved the Kenner version of the figure but always wished that Kenner could have added some lateral hip articulation so you could do action poses like an A stance. Well Lili Ledy did just that. Its like a combination of the Kenner upper body and the Mego lower body. Now you can do those poses you wished you could have done with the USA version of the toy. The engine block is very different from the USA version. The USA version is cast in multiple parts and glued together while the Mexican version is essentially a single blow molded piece with a handle added. But its very thick plastic. The handle is glued on and is attached to the opposite side of the engine block as compared to the USA version. Since the Mexican version has smaller feet the running shoes are a bit smaller too. The Arm lifting mechanism works just the same as the USA version however the Mexican version lacks the wrist articulation and only has one bionic module in the forearm. The USA version has Bionic modules in both upper and forearm. The USA version I would say is just a bit more robustly built but the Mexican version has that special charm with its added articulation and body style. This figure complete today commands a hefty price but loose versions do pop up on eBay every so often. If you Love your Kenner Six Million Dollar Man figure and you can afford the Lili Ledy version it’s a great addition to your Bionic Man collection”

Thanks Lou for letting me share my Lili Ledy El Hombre Nuclear on this fantastic site. I would have to say its one of my favourite of the Six Million Dollar Man figures ever made.
