1976…2 hours, 1 minute….a movie based off the Sandokan series:
“The Black Pirate (Kabir Bedi) is a Spanish nobleman, who has sworn that he will kill Van Gould, the Viceroy of the Caribbean island of Maricaibo (Mel Ferrer), a Dutchman, whose rule there has been oppressive. Swordfights and battles abound as he seeks to fulfill his pledge while continuing his work as a pirate. There is even one fight scene involving virtuoso sword work with a machete. This swashbuckler was based on the Italian television series, Sandokan.”
These 12″ basically posable figures are from Furga, an Italian toy and doll company from back in the 1970s. They built rooted hair figures with some nice outfits, but pretty cheap accessories. His chrome pistol is literally only half a pistol…its completely flat on one side. Not the most action-oriented figures, but they do have a certain charm that makes them collectible.
