When you have to compete back in the day with a mainstream toy like Hasbro’s GI Joe, it just ain’t that easy! So what do you do? Well, you kinda copy the figure and his accessories and vehicles and then you make it cheaper….lower quality plastic and parts or vehicles that may be slightly out of scale. Now grandma knows you love GI Joe and she is even fooled by these lesser quality figures and playsets thinking she’s going to make you so happy with that new GI Joe toy, when in reality its a sh*tty knockoff item. That being said, let’s stroll down memory lane to a corner you may have not visited before as it was so crappy, you just didn’t seem to notice it, but today you will because the MyMegoLike.com Time Machine is going to put you right dab in the center of it all. No glitz, no bling, no glam and certainly no quality. Let’s take a walk into the world of Mister Action and view the very vehicles that were made for his knockoff self! These vehicles were made with both fragile and non-fragile parts. The bodies and major parts of the vehicles were typically plastic that became very brittle over time. The accessories were typically a more flexible or of softer plastics. One thing they did not cheap out on is the packaging. The artwork is fantastic as you will see some examples below. Below you will find the vehicle and his GI Joe counterpart that he stole from. Enjoy!
