Back in the early 2000s, Cast-A-Way Toys was founded and they began producing 8″ Mego style action figures. They filled in a lot of gaps with new series and lots of original ideas. Figures came carded on a resealable clam card which made them even more appealing. Artwork was done by original artists and many of them even came with glow in the dark parts. The original figures were based on bodies provided by other vendors, but eventually the S2 bandless body was designed and this made the figures not only more durable and posable, but gave them a much better quality too that has yet to be rivaled.
Creepy Classics: Jesse James & The Ghost of Jesse James
These are GREAT figures! The head was molded from an original Matchbox Fighting Furies Ghost of Cap’n Kidd figure. The ghost version does glow in the dark, but the outfit is painted instead of the figure itself. The back of the card displays photos of the real Jesse James accompanied by a “Wanted” poster with stats, as well as photos of Jesse including one in his coffin.
