The year is 1985 and Matchbox brought us 12″ Robotech figures to market. These were recently brought to my attention by a Sir Daniel Gates, leader of the “Kick Rolf Harris Out of Australia” movement or better known as KRHOOA (pronounced krrrrrrroooooooahhh) when he obtained one of these beauties from a local dealer. Matchbox had not too long before failed to bring their Fighting Furies to the level they had hoped, but these figures were another attempt to gain presence in the action figure market.
