Model Toys / Flair Toys 10″ Daredevil

Back in 1974, this 9 inch, kung fu like gripped action figure with a load of accessories came in a slew of characters out of the (Scotland?) U.K.! The figure came boxed in one of the outfits and there were also loose carded outfits. He is kind of a cross between Action Jackson and Captain Action. Lots of accessories!! He also may be marked “Flair Toys”. The South American version was known as Super Amigos and came on a flexible rubber style arm instead of a jointed plastic one. There was even a horse “Lightning” and accessories for the horse for each adventure.

Hey guys, I don’t think this figure is a cross between Action Jackson and Captain Action. The head is more like Lone Ranger by GABRIEL. The outfits are also more in the direction of “Lone Ranger” or “Big Jim.” However, the knight, which was available in two versions, is very cool. The horse is basically the same as “ARCHIE” by Mary Quant .

Hmm I think the head looks like William Shatner, not during the Original Series but from the Motion Picture or TJ Hooker eras. Most notable in the Cavalry Sgt,, Mexican Bandit in Red, and 2 different body styles photos. Appropriate, because Shatner isn’t very much a horse fan, and his frequent riding is probably why he’s still alive today at 93.
